Here is one example using an acrostic
AN ACROSTIC! Come to class with clean hands. Operate the equipment properly. Make sure you listen to directions. Push your chair in when you are done. Use your inside voice. Touch the keyboard lightly .Eat and drink outside the computer lab. Remember to take your printouts with you. Learn something new each time you come to the lab. Always work toward your best, not your neighbors' best. Be careful handling CD's. Above is an example of classroom rules. Select a grade level and create your own rules. You do not need to use an acrostic |
Organizational Sites
Check out my Diigo site Diigo. Then set up your own account. Take a few minutes to play with the tool and then right a brief paragraph describing how you would use it in the classroom. Make sure you add the site to your table, describe it and rate it.
Here is another site you could use in the classroom to help your students with their organization. Take a minute to explore this site Homework Tool. Write a brief review of the site and then add it to your table.
Third part of your assignment is to find another organizational tool, one that you use or one for the classroom. Come to class on Thursday prepared to share the site with your colleagues. In your presentation show the site and provide two or three uses and one thing that could be improved. Use the comment option in the blog to share the site.

Thursday's Class
Good morning, hope everyone is checking the blog, make it a habit to check it. For class tomorrow we will be meeting in B03 to start and then we will spend the second part of class in the lab. We will be looking at "word" and the applications.
Please make sure your homework is either sent before class or brought to class to receive full credit. Being on time is also important.
We will be working on Newsletters in class and you will need to create one for your class. For this class you will be creating a fictitious class that you will use for all your assignments. So start thinking about your class. I will elaborate on this in class.
